I like to on behalf of the Government and good people of Bayelsa State, welcome you. We believe that the only way for us to continue to work is for us to partner and to be friendly, and for us to see what you are doing as non political. Do your business, partner with the government and the communities.

One very important area we will like AGIP to partner with the State Government is the Nembe-Brass road. That road has been there for many years, and your company has been operating in Brass, using helicopters because there is no access road.

We have three senatorial districts, and when we came in, two were ongoing, and we continued, but the last senatorial district, which is the East, there was nothing going on there, and we decided it was only fair enough that we do something about it. Your investment in Brass is very huge, and we are ready and prepared to protect that investment, and the only way you can give back is your corporate social responsibility.

I believe that it is not too late, AGIP can still do something to collaborate with the State Government. Be part of this success story, and I’m sure, your name will be written in gold in the State and in Brass where you are operating.

~ Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State speaking when he received management of the Nigeria Agip Oil Company, led by the New General Manager District, Crema Giordano in Government House, Yenagoa.
